Here’s your first inspiration – I saw this as was travelling through Ilkley today – are you daredevil enough to do this?

Zip the Cow

Inspired Retired Zip the Cow, Equity Release
Zip the Cow

Zip slide from the top of the Cow, at the Cow and Calf rocks above Ilkley, in summer 2023 to help support Sue Ryder's expert, compassionate care.

Walk to the top of the iconic ‘cow’ at the Cow and Calf Rocks above Ilkley and then jump from it, sliding 270m at speeds of up to 35 miles per hour.

Participants will take in spectacular views of Wharfedale....if they dare open their eyes!

This event will be held on the morning and afternoon of Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd July 2023.

Entry costs £27.50 per person and each person must also pledge to raise at least £50 towards the care that Sue Ryder provides in West and North Yorkshire.

This event is an ideal activity for those who want to do something special and to benefit a great local charity in the process.

Unlike a run or cycle ride, it requires zero training - although a degree of bravery is required!

In previous events participants ranged in age from 8 to 80, some of whom had disabilities, so it really is an event for all.

Simplified Equity Release has no control or responsibility for the pages you are about to access or where any subsequent link may take you

Equity release may involve a home reversion plan or a lifetime mortgage, which is secured against your property and will reduce the value of your estate and impact funding long-term care.

Equity release requires paying off any existing mortgage. Any money released, plus accrued interest would be repaid upon death, or moving into long-term care.

With a lifetime mortgage, if you don't make repayments interest will roll up over time.  This will increase the size of the debt and will reduce the amount left that will be left to your beneficiaries when you're gone.
