FSB Networking Event at Kyte Yorkshire Business Centre, Darrington
Yesterday, I attended a Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) networking event at the Kyte Yorkshire Business Centre in Darrington.
As a business owner, it's easy to spend much of your time focused on clients, meetings and day-to-day work, so I always welcome the opportunity to step away from my desk and connect with other local businesses.
The event brought together a wide range of professionals from across Yorkshire, creating a relaxed environment to share experiences, discuss opportunities and learn more about the challenges and successes that fellow business owners are experiencing.
One of the things I enjoy most about networking events like these is the chance to meet people from different industries. Whilst my own focus is helping homeowners aged 55 and over understand their lifetime mortgage options, many of the conversations I have at networking events are not directly related to equity release. Instead, they often centre around business growth, customer service, community involvement and supporting one another through referrals and professional connections.
The Kyte Yorkshire Business Centre provided an excellent venue, and the event was a reminder of the strength and diversity of the local business community. It was great to reconnect with familiar faces and make several new contacts along the way.
Running a business can sometimes feel quite solitary, particularly for those of us who work independently. Events such as these highlight the value of building relationships and being part of a wider professional network.
I'd like to thank the FSB for organising the event and everyone who took the time to chat with me. I look forward to continuing the conversations and hopefully working alongside some of the people I met in the future.
Networking remains an important part of my business, not just for generating opportunities, but for learning, sharing knowledge and supporting the wider Yorkshire business community.
